TDX minimises latency through two different means. Firstly, the data from the exchanges is delivered directly from the exchange to the client side, bypassing the Tenfore central ticker plants. Secondly, all non-essential processes associated with the production of a multi-sourced consolidated feed have been removed and the remaining processes are optimised to ensure sub-millisecond performance.
Unlike specialist 'ultra low' latency providers, Tenfore utilises its existing ticker plant feed handlers to deliver its own low latency solutions for a large number of exchanges across Europe, the Americas, Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
The output format from TDX is consistent with that of Tenfore’s consolidated feed. Utilising a single data format provides customers with the option to take single or multiple direct connections to priority exchanges and then use Tenfore’s consolidated feed for lower priority exchanges.
